PTPRE is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family. PTPs are known to be signaling molecules that regulate a variety of cellular processes including cell growth, differentiation, mitotic cycle, and oncogenic transformation. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been reported, one of which encodes a receptor-type PTP that possesses a short extracellular domain, a single transmembrane region, and two tandem intracytoplasmic catalytic domains; Another one encodes a PTP that contains a distinct hydrophilic N-terminus, and thus represents a nonreceptor-type isoform of this PTP. Studies of the similar gene in mice suggested the regulatory roles of this PTP in RAS related signal transduction pathways, cytokines induced SATA signaling, as well as the activation of voltage-gated K+ channels. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family. unlabelled serum
Antibody is purified by peptide affinity chromatography method.
Rabbit
Polyclonal
Antibody produced in rabbits immunized with a synthetic peptide corresponding a region of human PTPRE.
ELISA, Western Blot
PTPRE antibody can be used for detection of PTPRE by ELISA at 1:312500. PTPRE antibody can be used for detection of PTPRE by western blot at 1 ug/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
Antibody is lyophilized in PBS buffer with 2% sucrose. Add 50 μL of distilled water. Final antibody concentration is 1 mg/mL.
For short periods of storage (days) store at 4 grades C. For longer periods of storage, store PTPRE antibody at -20 grades C. As with any antibody avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
If you buy Antibodies supplied by proscience they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
