ALKALINE PHOSPHATASE This item detects bacterial alkaline phosphatase (BAP), a periplasmic enzyme which catalyzes the release of 5'- and 3'-phosphate groups from DNA, RNA and nucleotides. BAP can also dephosphorylate a number of proteins and alkaloids, and has an optimum pH of 8.0. BAP is encoded by the phoA gene, and forms a homodimer of two identical 47kD subunits. _x000D__x000D_It is thought that bacteria use BAP to create free phosphate groups for uptake and use. Other functions include dephosphorylating extracellular organic compounds for import into the cell. _x000D__x000D_does not react with mammalian forms of alkaline phosphatase.

In order to retain the quality and the affinity of productone unchanged, please, avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. For antibodies that are in liquid form or reconstituted lyophilized antibodies small amounts could become entrapped on the seal or the walls of the tube. Prior to use briefly centrifuge the vial to gather all the solution on the bottom.
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.
