A 1:250 dilution of SPC-1105 was sufficient for detection of ARAF in 10 µg of HeLa cell lysate by ECL immunoblot analysis using goat anti-rabbit IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.

ARAF is a tyrosine kinase-like kinase of the Raf family. It is involved in the transduction of mitogenic signals from the cell membrane receptors via Ras and MEK1/2 to the nucleus. It has been implicated in playing a role in the postsynaptic responses of hippocampal neuron. It is inhibited by Nexavar/Sorafenib (IC50>50 nM).
