A 1:250 dilution of SPC-1097 was sufficient for detection of WNK1 (pSer382) in 10 µg of HeLa cell lysate by ECL immunoblot analysis using goat anti-rabbit IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.

Highly expressed in the testis, heart, kidney and skeletal muscle. Isoform 3 is kidney-specific and specifically expressed in the distal convoluted tubule (DCT) and connecting tubule (CNT) of the nephron.
WINK1 is a serine/threonine kinase which plays an important role in the regulation of electrolyte homeostasis, cell signalling, survival, and proliferation.WNK1 activates SCNN1A, SCNN1B, SCNN1D and SGK1. Exact mechanism of oncogenesis is unclear.
