A 1:250 dilution of SPC-1083 was sufficient for detection of SIK3 (pThr163) in 10 µg of HeLa cell lysate by ECL immunoblot analysis using goat anti-rabbit IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.
Cytoplasm
Highly expressed in the brain, specifically the genu, caudate nucleus, and pyramidal neurons of the hippocampus, primary visual cortex, and superior frontal gyrus, as well as in B-lympocytes, and dermal papilla.
SIK3 is a AMPK-family Serine/Threonine-Protein Kinase ubiquitously expressed in the cytoplasm. In ovarian cancer, overexpression of SIK3 promotes G1/S cell cycle progression and cell proliferation and may therefore function as an oncoprotein.
