A 1:250 dilution of SPC-994 was sufficient for detection of MAP4K4 (pThr187) in 10 µg of HeLa cell lysate by ECL immunoblot analysis using goat anti-rabbit IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.
Cytoplasm
Appears to be ubiquitous. Expressed in all tissue types examined. Isoform 5 appears to be more abundant in the brain. Isoform 4 is predominant in the liver, skeletal muscle and placenta.
MAP4K4 appears to act upstream of the JUN N-terminal pathway. It phosphorylates SMAD1 on Thr-322.
