A 1:250 dilution of SPC-971 was sufficient for detection of ErbB3 (pTyr1289) in 10 µg of HeLa cell lysate by ECL immunoblot analysis using goat anti-rabbit IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.

ErbB3 is a receptor tyrosine-protein kinase and a member of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) family. It will bind neuroligin ligand, but it lacks an active kinase domain; however, it will heterodimerize with EGFRs that do have kinase activity. Upregulation of this gene has been reported in numerous cancers.
